🏫 ABOUT INSTITUTION

The Central University of Odisha (CUO), established under the Central University Act 2009 to address the growing educational needs of the Country, is located in Koraput, one of the finest places in terms of tranquility and weather throughout the year. The CUO has been making steady progress over the years so much so that it has emerged as a ‘Happening University’ in the Country. The University seeks to harness interdisciplinary research for sustained progress in ‘Education for Development’. Attracting outstanding academicians with talent and commitment is on the top of the CUO agenda of recruiting competent faculty. The new faculty are not only expected to conduct research and teaching programmes in their fields of specializations but arc also expected to carry out inter-disciplinary academic initiatives including the community outreach programmes and industry-academia interventions. The new crop of 590 students who are expected to join the CUO academic programmes of 2020-21 through CUCET 2020, comprise the core of bright students in the Country as they would be selected from a diversified all India pool of about 15,000 applicants. This number is not only encouraging but challenging to the teachers, researchers and administrators of the University. The current recruitment is seen as the harbinger of a series of faculty recruitments in the next two years in Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Public Health, Social Work, Political Science and Public Administration, Public Policy and Sustainable Development, among others. This is the roadmap with new initiatives of the academic progression of the CUO. The current NAAC B+ rating is expected to catapult us into A ranking.

The Central University of Odisha, Koraput invites candidates for the Walk–in–Interview (Online Mode) for empanelment of Guest Faculty positions for one semester for the academic session 2021-22. The scheduled of the department-wise interview is as under

The Central University of Odisha shall conduct ‘Walk-in-Interview’ (Online Mode) for empanelment of Guest Faculty in English, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science and Education for one semester for the academic session 2021-22.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

I. A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

II. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET. The superannuated teachers will also be considered for engagement of Guest Faculty subject to maximum age of 70 years. For the recruitment of guest faculties (04nos.) in the department of Education, the minimum educational qualification may be done the basis of NCTE and UGC qualifications

Essential Qualification for the post in the discipline of Computer Science:
B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech, in relevant branch with first class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./ M.Tech.

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹

Selected candidates shall be paid an honorarium of ₹ 1500/- per lecture subject to maximum of ₹ 50,000/- per month
