Sainik School of Gujarat was established in the year 1961 in Jamnagar. The School is located in the Balachadi Estate which is 32 kms away from Jamnagar. The Balachadi Estate was formerly a sea side summer resort that belonged to the rulers of Nawanagar. The estate comprises of 426 acres of land in the mangrove rich coastal belt of Saurashtra. Sprawling across a wide campus along the golden sands of the Gulf of Kutch, lies a patch of land, beautiful in its rare wealth of flora and fauna. Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, the then Prime Minister of India, presented the school its colour on 07 Mar 1965.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
PGT Chemistry
Essential (i)Master Degree in Chemistry from a recognised University with at least 50% Marks in aggregate. (ii) B.Ed or equivalent qualification from a recognised University or Two Year Integrated Post Graduate Degree from Regional College of Education in Chemistry with at least 50% Marks in aggregate.
Desirable Experience of teaching in a residential School in a concerned subject. Proficiency in Teaching in Concerned subject. Knowledge of Computer Applications.
TGT Social Science
Essential Qualification (i) Graduation with History as main subject and B.Ed in relevant subject from recognised University / Institute with at least 50% marks in aggregate or BA. B.Ed in History as Main Subject from Regional College of Education with at least 50% marks in aggregate. (ii) CTET / STET qualified
Desirable (i) Preference will be given for Teaching experience of 2 years in CBSE affiliated English Medium School, preferably residential. (ii) Higher Qualifications (iii) Achievements in NCC/Sports/Extra-Curricular activities etc
Counsellor
Essential Qualification (i) MA (Psychology)/ MSc (Psychology)/Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology/MA in Clinical Psychology from a recognised University or (ii) Masters in Child Development / Social Work with 1 year Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Guidance from a recognizes Institute or University.
Desirable (i)One year experience in providing counselling. (ii) Persons with adequate training in psychotherapy, Psychometric assessment and experience of working in residential schools. (iii) Knowledge of Local Language (iv) Basic Knowledge of computer operation
Quarter Master
Essential Qualification (i) B.A /B. Com. (ii) At least 5 years’ experience as UDC stores or as Quartermaster or an ex-serviceman preferably a JCO with at least 10 years experience in handling and accounting of stores.
Desirable (i) Should have undergone a Quartermaster’s Course
