Government of India founded the Central University of Tamil Nadu, along with eight other Central Universities, through an Act of Parliament in 2009. It is part of the greater role that the Central Government assumed in making higher education accessible to aspirants from the weaker sections of the society. With eight students in M.A. English Studies, the university started functioning from November 2009, at the Collectorate Annexe at Thiruvarur, 60 kilometers to the east of Thanjavur. But today the University sits astride a major tributary of the famous Cauvery river in the heart of the Delta seven kilometers to the north-west of Thiruvarur.

Candidates are advised to read the detailed advertisement carefully before filling up of application. Age of superannuation from University services is 65 years. Opening of Online Portal : 17.02.2022 (00:00 Hrs) Closing of Online Portal : 19.03.2022 (23:59 Hrs)
Applicant should provide the complete addresses of three references to whom this University can make a reference at any time during the selection process. These references should be from the subject / area of specialization. If the candidate is employed, one of the references must be his immediate Supervisory Officer / HOD.

Applicants are required to apply online through Samarth Portal (cutnnt.samarth.edu.in) by e-application. The portal closes at 23:59 Hrs on 19-03-2022(Last date of receipt of applications). After successfully submitting the online e-application, the applicant shall take a print out of it, attach all relevant enclosures(Educational, Experience, Relaxation Certificates, etc.,) and send it to the address “The Joint Registrar, Recruitment cell, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Neelakudi, Thiruvarur – 610 005, Tamil Nadu” to reach on or before 29-03-2022. Please write on the top-left side of the envelope ”Application for the post of __”. Application sent in plain paper, email, fax etc. will summarily be rejected.
Separate e-application for each post along with separate enclosures has to be submitted in case candidate wishes to apply for more than one post
