After successful establishemnt of State medical institutions at Haldwani (Nainital), Srinagar(Garhwal) and Dehradun in last decade, a step forward, the State government decided to establish another medical institute in the name of “Soban Singh Jeena Government Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Almora” at district Almora of kumaun hills of the State. The institute is under sponsorship scheme of Governemnt of India.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
» Max. age limit and Minimum Qualification for Professor/Associate/Assistant Professor-As per current NMC Norms and State Govt Policy Only MD/MS/DNB candidetes should apply.
Minimum Qualification for Statistician- A person with MSc (Health Statistics/Medical Statistics/ Bio Statistics/Statistics) with PhD from a recognized University shall be appointed as Assistant Professor of Statistics in the department of Community Medicine.
» Max. age limit and Minimum Qualification for Lady Medical Officer & Medical Officer: As per current NMC Norms and State Govt Policy Recognized MBBS Degree but preference will be given to MD/MS/DNB/Diploma
» Reservation: As per Uttarakhand State Govt. Rules.
🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
1) Professor – Rs 1.71.600/- Per month (Annual increment Rs 6,000/-)
2) Associate Professor – Rs 1.47,600/- Per month (Annual increment Rs 6,000/-)
3) Assistant Professor -Rs 1.14,000/- Per month (Annual increment Rs. 3,600/-)
4) Assist Professor (Non Medical/Statistician) -Rs 91,000/- Per month (Annual increment Rs 3.600/-)
5) Lady Medical Officer -Rs 69,800/- Per month (inclusive of NPA and all other allowances)
6) Medical Officer -Rs 69,800/- Per month (inclusive of NPA and all other allowances)

Doon Medical College Campus, Patel Nagar, Dehradun (Uttarakhand). Registration will be done on the day of interview till 02:00 pm only The posts will be filled on yearly renewal contract basis fora maximum period of 03 (three) years or till regular appointments are made.
Soban Singh Jeena Government Institute of Medical Science and Research Almora has got the letter of permission from NMC (letter no NMC/UG/2020 7000111/ (offline) 006906-15 dated 27-01-2022) to start MBBS course with permission for the admission of 100 MBBS seats for the academic year 2021 -22
No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview The Chairman Interview Committee reserves the right to accept/reject any application without assigning any reason Number of posts advertised may be increased or decreased at the time of interview and final selection.
