National Institute Of Technology, Silchar (राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, सिलचर) is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology of India and was established in 1967 as a Regional Engineering College in Assam. In 2002 it was upgraded to the status of National Institute of Technology and was declared as Institute of National Importance under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007.The institute has been taken over by Government of India and subsequently made into a fully funded Central Government Autonomous Institution. This ensures a better financial status for NIT Silchar and will accelerate its growth ensuring that it becomes one of the premier technological institutes of not just the North- East but the entire nation. The institute has remodeled its curriculum and academic activities in line with that of the IITs. With its Deemed University status, the institute started awarding degrees from the year 2002 and the first convocation of the institute was held on 16 February 2004. The Government of India declared the Institute as an Institute of National Importance by enacting the National Institutes of Technology Act 2007.

• Scientific Administrative Assistant/ Field Operator

🎯 TITLE OF THE PROJECT

Title of the project: Establishment of Science, Technology and Innovation Hub in NIT Silchar, Cachar, Assam, for the socio-economic upliftment of SC/ST population in Assam

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Essential Qualification
Post -01 B.E. in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering and related branches of Civil Engineering from recognized University.
Post-02 An undergraduate degree (03/04 years) in Ayurveda/ Naturopathy/ Botany/ Horticulture/ Forestry/ Plant Biotechnology and related branches.
Post-03 An undergraduate in Commerce (B.Com.) from a recognized university
Post-04 B.E./B. Tech. or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering from recognized university/Institute.

Desirable Qualification
Post -01 Candidates having knowledge of rainwater harvesting systems, groundwater recharge will be given preference.
Post-02 Proficiency (Read, Write and Speak) in Bodo, Assamese, and English language with computer database creation and management knowledge will be preferred.
Post-03 B.Com. with honors in Accounting and Finance from a recognized university with proficiency in Computers, accounting software with relevant experience in handling accounts and related tasks.
Post-04 Candidates should have knowledge of CAD/CAE software with hands-on experience in material development and processing

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹

Rs. 18,000/-per month
Note: Candidate will be eligible for H.R.A as per the Project/Institute norms (if accommodation is not provided by the Institute)
