Mahatma Gandhi University envisaged the prospects of an Inter University Centre for Biomedical Research and Super Speciality Hospital (IUCBR & SSH) as an institution of importance and relevance to Kerala State with the object to develop high-end teaching and training in post graduate medical education in all branches of healthcare specifically pertinent to the region. The University has identified its campus at Thalappady, Kottayam as the ideal location for IUCBR & SSH, and the first phase of the construction is completed. Mahatma Gandhi University,one of the major Universities in Kerala, is a premier educational institution that strives to fulfill the higher educational needs of the people from Central Kerala. Set on the sprawling 110-acre Priyadarsini Hills Campus at Athirampuzha, 12 kms off Kottayam, the University also has two satellite campuses in Kottayam . The University was established on 2nd October 1983 and has jurisdiction over the revenue districts of Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki and parts of Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha. The Institution offers a large number of programmes at the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, M Phil and Doctoral levels through its 17 University Departments, 1 International and Inter University Centre, 7 Inter University Centres, 10 Inter School Centres, 77 Govt./Aided Affiliated Colleges, 10 Autonomous Colleges (of which 8 are Colleges with a Potential for Excellence), 200 Unaided Affiliated Colleges and 199 Recognized Research Centres.

Walk-in-interview for the selection of Guest/ Contract Faculty for the following Departments/ Schools of the University will be conducted at the Vice Chancellor’s Conference Hall on the dates specified in the Schedule attached hereunder. The appointment will be purely on contract basis for a period of one academic year (June 15, 2022 to April 15, 2023) or till permanent appointment in the post concerned is made whichever is earlier.

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
Remuneration: ₹1750/- per day subject to a maximum of ₹43,750/- per month for UGC qualified candidates will be considered with a remuneration of ₹1600/- per day subject to a maximum of ₹40,000/- per month)
