🏫 ABOUT INSTITUTION
Established in 1887 (VJTI Memorandum of Association), VJTI started with two departments, namely the Sir J. J. School of Mechanical Engineering and the Ripon Textile School for the two branches of industry to meet the technical manpower requirements of Bombay and around. The first step in the expansion of the Institute was taken in 1903 when courses in Electrical Engineering were introduced. The Technical & Applied Chemistry Department was added in 1906, followed by the Department of Sanitary Engineering in 1913. By G. R. No. 1850 of 27th June 1913, the institute was recognized as the Central Technological Institute of Bombay Province. In the early days, the Institute was housed in Byculla in a building donated for the purpose by Sir Dinshaw Maneckji Petit.

📝 HOW TO APPLY
- Day 1: 17/08/2023, Reporting to the respective department at 10,00 am, A written test based on the GATE Level questions will be conducted and qualifying candidates will be shortlisted for the Interview by Departmental Committee and subsequently interview will be conducted at respective department.
- Day 2: 18/08/2023, Candidates shortlisted by the Departmental Committee after the interviews at the department level will be interviewed by the Institute level committee.
Important Notes: - Candidates applying for the Walk-in TEMPORARY/ VISITING FACULTY shall use the format prescribed in Annexure – I
- Candidates must bring all original certificates at the time of the interview.
- Attested photocopies of the relevant documents indicating age, qualifications, category, experience etc.
- Reservation Policy of the Government of Maharashtra shall be applicable for the selection process.
- The faculty who already on roll of VJTI need not apply.
