National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal is located in Mangalore City, Karnataka State, India. The Institute was established as Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC) in 1960, and upgraded as National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) in 2002. Mangalore is the headquarters of the coastal district of Dakshina Kannada, and boasts an important centre of education, business and trade in the state. Sri. U. Srinivasa Mallya, a visionary and a philanthropist, contributed immensely to the development of the coastal region of Karnataka, and his effort towards establishment of KREC (now NITK) is the most significant one. In recognition of his role as the founder and architect of the institute, the campus premises is named after him as Srinivasnagar.

🎯 TITLE OF THE PROJECT
Project Title “Creating Awareness in the Field of Artificial Intelligence through Hands-on Activities for secondary school children in select districts of Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu”
🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
Project Associate I:
B.E/B.Tech in CSE/IT/Information Science & Engineering/AI or any relevant discipline from a recognized institute. OR M.E/M.Tech in related discipline with experience in NLP/Computer vision/AI Tools OR MCA/M.Sc (Computer science) with experience in NLP/Computer vision/AI Tools
Project Assistant:
Masters in Management /Economics Preferable: Experience in facilitating the conduct of experiment, data collection, data analysis & report writing
🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
Project Assistant: Rs. 20,000 + HRA
Project Associate I: Rs.31,000 + HRA to scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests: CSIR-UGC NET or GATE OR Rs. 25,000+ HRA (for others)
