IIIT Bhubaneswar invites applications from eminent academicians, scholars and professionals for short and long term assignments as visiting faculty. Visiting commitments can range from a semester to a year or longer. The nature of the engagement can vary from teaching regular or short courses, conducting seminars or workshops, consulting with faculty for collaborative research or individual projects.
The institute is open to applications from disciplines like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Telecommunication (ETC), Electronics and Engineering (EEE), Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Humanities.
Visiting faculty are sought at the level of visiting Assistant Professor, Visiting Associate Professor, visiting Professor for a semester or longer duration. A visiting faculty typically teaches courses at the Institute, most commonly during the regular semester, conducts research and assists in administration.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
The details of the required qualifications & experience along with other relevant information are available on the Institute Website.
- Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Engineering along with a Ph.D degree in relevant subject area for engineering streams (CSE, ETC, EEE).
- For Basic Science and Humanities streams (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) bachelor’s and master’s Degree along with a Ph.D degree in relevant subjects.
- Applicants must have a consistently good academic record with first class or equivalent grade in all preceding degrees in appropriate discipline and demonstrated research potential.
- Retired faculty members from Institutes of repute may also apply for these positions.
- Minimum requirement of qualifications and/or experience may be relaxed for exceptional candidates.
