Application for the position of Associate Professor (One Post) on a Contract Basis for the School of Public Policy and Governance, TISS- Hyderabad Off-Campus
The school invites applications from interested scholars for one post of Associate Professor at the
School of Public Policy and Governance in the areas of Economics/ Regional Development/
Population Studies/Development Studies.
The candidate should have demonstrated research interest and publication in the areas of
Urban Economics/Welfare Economics/Economics of Informal Sector. Expertise in Micro Data Sets
like NFHS, NSS, Census, PLFS will be essential.
The post will be on a contractual basis initially for a period of one year and extendable based on
performance, requirement of the position.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Essential qualifications: Postgraduate in Economics, Economics or allied disciplines like Regional Development/ Population Studies/Public Policy/ Development Studies/
i) A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines mentioned above.
ii) A Postgraduate Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
iii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/ research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/ industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed international or national UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 75 as per the criteria given in UGC Regulations, 2018, Appendix II, Table 2.

- Assistant Professor Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 71952/- p.m. (Pay Band Rs. 15600 – 39100; AGP Rs. 6000/-) in 6th CPC as approved by funder
