IIT Hyderabad Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad is one among the 2nd generation of IITs started by the Govt. of India. Today IITH offers 9 B.Tech programs, 16 M.Tech programs, 3 M.Sc programs, 5 M.Phil programs, 1 M.Des program and Ph.D. programs in all branches of engineering, science, liberal arts and design. The very foundation of IIT Hyderabad is based on research and innovation. The vibrant research culture is evident from the number of patents and publications that IITH has. The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad Applications are invited from eligible and suitable candidates for the post of Patent Officer at IIT Hyderabad, Kandi Campus. Terms and conditions of this recruitment process will be governed by IIT Hyderabad. The position is on ad-hoc basis and the candidate offered the position is required to physically report to the office on the IITH campus for the execution of the duties.
💼 DESIGNATION / JOB POSITION
- Patent Officer
🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
Candidates with good exposure to research and development activities with good knowledge in Patents Act and Rules.
- Essential Requirements
(a) Graduation/Post Graduation in Science or Engineering or Law from a reputed institute having Intellectual Property, Patents Act and Rules as one of the subjects
(b) Experience in the field of patent drafting, patent analysis, patent searching, and patent examination etc. from a reputed institute for a minimum period of 6 Years - Desirable Requirements
(a) Research experience: 3 years or more from a recognised university or R&D institute /Academic Institute
(b) Qualified Patent Agent
(c) Drafting experience for Patent Applications for PCT, USPTO, EP
🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
- Consolidated Rs. 80,000 per month (based on experience) + incentives upto Rs. 20,000 based on achievement of set targets
