IIIT Dharwad (Triple-IT Dharwad) is a premier Information Technology Institute established in 2015 and accorded Institute of National Importance status in 2017. IIIT Dharwad presently has four academic Departments namely,
Arts, Science, and Design
Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI)
Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
Academic activities began from the August 2015 session with B. Tech programs in two branches namely Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering.
BTech in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence was later introduced. Subsequently, Ph.D. program was initiated in all the Departments and M.Tech (Research) was initiated in CSE, DSAI and ECE. At present, the Institute is in the process of starting several MTech programs.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Basic Pay: ₹ 1,39,600/- [min.] {Academic Pay Level 13A2 of the Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission}. All other allowances as admissible to the Institute employees apply
