The Department of Chemistry invites applications for a Research Associate-I (RA-I) position under a Ministry of Coal-sponsored research project.

🔬 RESEARCH PROJECT TITLE
“Coal to Chemical Sensors: Conversion of low-grade coal to carbon dots-based smart sensing strips for on-site monitoring of heavy metals in water bodies around the coal fields” (CMPDI/S&T/CU-64)
🎯 AREA OF WORK
Development of carbon-dot based optical sensors for heavy metal analysis. Periodic field visits to Dhanbad and Jamshedpur are required for sample collection and analysis.
🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
Essential: Basic Eligibility Ph. D. degree holder in any branch of Science or Engineering
Desirable:
Candidate must possess extensive knowledge and experience in the preparation of nanomaterials based optical sensors. Preferably carbon-dots based fluorescence sensors.
The above should be reflected from original publications of the candidate.
🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
Monthly Emolument Rs 69,600 per month (₹58,000 + 20% HRA)
💺 JOB LOCATION
NIT Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir
Field visits: Dhanbad (Jharkhand) and NIT Jamshedpur (as required)
