The essential qualifications include a Post-Graduate degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of fifty-five percent marks or its equivalent grade, a B.Ed. degree with a minimum of fifty-five percent marks or equivalent grade, and qualification in the National Eligibility Test or State Level Eligibility Test or a Doctor of Philosophy in Education or in the concerned subject as prescribed by the University Grants Commission.
