🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in a relevant area with first-class or equivalent in the preceding degrees and a consistently good academic record. Experience requirements vary by position:

• Professor: Minimum ten years of teaching, research, or industrial experience, with at least four years at the level of Associate Professor.
• Associate Professor: Minimum six years of teaching, industry, or research experience, with at least three years at the level of Assistant Professor.
• Assistant Professor Grade-I: Minimum three years of relevant industrial, research, or teaching experience.
• Assistant Professor Grade-II: Suitable for candidates meeting all criteria except post-Ph.D. experience for Grade-I.

The pay scale is as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) adopted by IIT Jammu, with additional allowances as per Central Government rules:

• Associate Professor: Academic Pay Level 13A2 (Rs. 139600-211300)
• Assistant Professor Grade-I: Academic Pay Level 12 (Rs. 101500-167400)
• Assistant Professor Grade-II: Academic Pay Level 10 (Rs. 57700-98200)
