🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in relevant subjects (Plant Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ Plant Biochemistry/Life sciences/ Microbiology) with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s degree (1st Division). Candidates having graduate degree in basic Sciences with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET/GATE/ICAR-SRF (PhD entrance) qualification and 2 years of research experience. Candidates having B. Tech with M. Tech 5 year (degree must have it mentioned as B. Tech and M. Tech) as mentioned in OM No Edn./6/27/2014/HRDdated 13thJuly,2015,OMNo Agril. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD 9th October, 2015 of the Council and OM SR/S9/Z09/2018 of DST dated, 30th January 2019.
Desirable Qualification: Experience in basic plant physiology, biochemistry and molecular techniques (nucleic acid isolation, PCR, plasmid isolation, restriction, ligation, molecular marker etc), molecular cloning and recombinant vector development, genetic transformation of crops (rice, mustard, millets, etc), particle gun mediated transformation of plants, plant tissue culture, development and analysis of transgenic plants.
