• Project – “Privacy Preserving Distributed Intelligence”
• Principal Investigator -Prof. Rajdeep Niyogi 
•  duration – 2 years

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

• PhD in Computer Science/Mathematics. The PhD work should be in areas related to privacy preserving mechanisms in multi-agent systems, with a good understanding of the related mathematical fields.

• At least two first author publications, related to the scope of the project, out of which one should be in a journal (Q1/Q2) and another should be in a top tier conference.

Desirable experience:

• Good knowledge on privacy preserving mechanisms like differential privacy and its application in streaming distributed settings.

• Demonstrated interest in federated learning, typically by publications or manuscripts under review/preparation.

• Working knowledge of Python.

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹

The duration of the fellowship will be 2 years. The fellowship may be terminated by either side by giving one month’s notice. A consolidated fellowship of Rs.80,000/ per month for two years and a contingency of Rs.50,000/- per annum will be awarded to Post-Doctoral Fellows.

Notes:

1 .The Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) will be registered as IIT Roorkee students and may avail facilities of library, computer center, available hospital facilities etc. They will be entitled to 2.5 days of leave per complete calendar month. No carry forward of leave will be allowed beyond a calendar year. PDF positions are purely temporary. The benefits applicable to permanent employees like LTC and PDA are not applicable.

2. The shortlisted candidates will be intimated to attend an interview in offline/online mode. No TA/DA will be reimbursed for attending the interview.
