🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

• Associate Professor

(i) B.Tech in Marine/ Mechanical Engineering/ Naval Architecture.

(ii) First Class Certificate of Competency (MEO Class-I C.O.C)

(iii) Shall produce the TOTA / VICT course certificate on joining.

Desirable:

(I) M.Tech in Marine Engineering.

(ii) AECS course certificate.

(iii) Shall undergo the VICT course before joining duty.

Experience

12 years of relevant experience out of which at least 2 years shall be in the position of Chief Engineer officer onboard merchant ships. (Experience as Full time Faculty member in a DG Shipping approved MTI will be counted as equivalent to Chief Engineer experience)

• Assistant Professor

(A)Master’s degree in Mathematics with 55 % marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale where ever the grading system is followed ) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

(B)National Eligibility Test(NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR , or a similar test accredited by the UGC(the essential qualification shall be in compliance with the UGC Regulations 2018).

OR

Ph.D in the concerned /allied /relevant disciplines .

Desirable

B.Ed/M.Ed from UGC approved University /IOTA or VICT, certificate from D G Shipping approved Maritime Training Institute .

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹

• Associate Professor – Rs.1,25,000/-(One lakh twenty five thousand only)
• Assistant Professor – Monthly Remuneration of Rs.47,000/- for candidates possessing a Ph.D. degree and?45,000/- for candidates without a Ph.D. degree, (effective from 01.07.2026).
