🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
- Project Associate I
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Biotechnology or related fields with relevant experience as per the norms. Detailed qualifications and experience requirements are available on the Institute’s website. Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences /MVSC or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent
Field Worker – Essential: Graduate degree in any discipline
Desirable: Knowledge of working in lab, field and glasshouse.

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
- Project Associate I
Rs. 31,000 + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. OR 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under above. (DST OM No. SR/S9/Z 05/2019 Dated 10/07/2020)
Field Worker – Rs. 18,000/- + HRA per month

📝 HOW TO APPLY
Eligible candidates are invited to attend the walk-in interview for the engagement of following vacancies under the DBT-funded projects mentioned below. The position is unreserved, purely temporary, and co-terminus with the project. Candidates are required to bring the duly filled and signed application form along with original copies of educational and other relevant documents, and one set of self-attested photocopies for verification at the time of interview. The walk-in interview will be held on 27.10.2026 at 10:00 AM at the Division of Genetics, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. If the candidate is found to have submitted false claims at a later stage, the candidature will be summarily rejected.
The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially for up to 31.03.2027 or till completion of project whichever is earlier and may be extended periodically subject to performance till the termination of the project. No TA/DA/ any other expenses will be paid for attending the interview.
