🏫 ABOUT INSTITUTION

IISER Thiruvananthapuram is an autonomous premier institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It aims to provide quality science education and foster innovative research in frontier areas of science and interdisciplinary domains. The Institute currently invites applications under a rolling advertisement for Assistant Professor positions.

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) invites applications for selection at the Assistant Professor level on ‘tenure-track’ in the areas mentioned below from Indian nationals with outstanding academic credentials, proven research capabilities as reflected by publications in journals of international repute, strong competence in developing and teaching courses in the following areas, ability to establish a vibrant research programme and passion for teaching.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Assistant Professor (Grade I): Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree. At least 3 years of teaching/research/industrial experience (excluding Ph.D.). Age preferably below 35 years.

Assistant Professor (Grade II): Ph.D. with first class or equivalent and excellent academic record. Age preferably below 30 years. This is a contractual position for three years.

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹

Assistant Professor Grade I: Level 12 – ₹1,01,500/- + allowances. Gross ~ ₹1,62,905/- per month (excluding HRA).
Assistant Professor Grade II: Level 10 – ₹1,11,750/- (gross salary excluding HRA).

Additional increments may be offered based on experience and credentials. Pension under NPS. Benefits for Grade II are limited to leave entitlements only.
