Qualifications and Experience

For the position of Assistant Professor Grade-I, candidates must possess a PhD with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch, along with a very good academic record. A minimum of three years of teaching, research, or industrial experience is required, excluding the experience gained while pursuing a PhD. Candidates should demonstrate strong research capabilities through publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals or patents.

Assistant Professor Grade-II candidates must also have a PhD with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree and a strong academic record. They should demonstrate research capabilities through publications or patents. These candidates may be appointed on a contract basis and are eligible for placement as Assistant Professor Grade-I upon completing three years of relevant experience.

Salary and Benefits

The pay structure for Assistant Professor Grade-I is set at the 7th CPC Pay Level-12, with a minimum pay of Rs.101,500. After three years, the incumbent moves to Pay Level 13A1. For Assistant Professor Grade-II, the starting pay is at Pay Level-10, with a minimum of Rs.70,900, progressing to higher levels based on experience. Additional benefits include HRA, LTC, medical reimbursement, education allowance, and more, as per Institute norms.
