St.Xavier´s College, Mahuadanr, a co-educational under graduate institution was established by the Jesuits of Hazaribag province in the year 2011 to impart quality education primarily to the most neglected under privilege students. However, the College follows the principle of inclusiveness, and hence admits all students irrespective of caste, creed, gender and economic disparities. The College is also meant to serve the indigenous people of the remote area of Mahuadanr in Latehar district of Jharkhand. Mahuadanr is a valley surrounded by a ring of hills and mountains, hence known as the Chechari Valley. Its natural set up is uniquely gorgeous with a beautiful hill station, Netarhat on the east, Burha hills on the west, Aksi hills on the north and Champa hills on the south.
