Netaji Subhas Open University is the premier State Open University in India. The year 1997 was the birth centenary year of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The Chief Minister of West Bengal made an announcement at a State function that an Open University would be set up soon and dedicated to Netaji’s hallowed memory. The Higher Education Minister, Govt. of West Bengal spearheaded the idea after his visit to the Open University in U.K. Under his instruction was set up a ten-member steering committee headed by late Dr. Bhaskar Ray Chowdhury, former Vice-Chancellor of Kolkata University.

Advertisement for the Junior Research Fellow (One) in a Research Project at School of Sciences (Computer Science), NSOU
Applications are invited for the position of one Junior Research Fellow (on a purely temporary basis) in a research project of National Board for Higher Mathematics (Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India) entitled “Graph Theoretic Model of Channel Assignment Problem (CAP) in Wireless Network” under the supervision of Dr. Soumen Nandi, Associate Professor of Computer Science & Principal Investigator (PI) and Dr. Sagnik Sen, Department of Mathematics, IIT Dharwad & Co-PI. To cater the University’s temporary requirement under this project in the School of Sciences, NSOU intends to hold a Selection Process for the following temporary position

- Junior Research Fellow
🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
1 Essential Qualification Post Graduate degree in Mathematics/Computer Science with at least 55% marks
2 Desirable qualification Knowledge in Graph Theory is highly recommended.
🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
- Consolidated Emoluments Rs. 31,000 per month plus applicable HRA
