National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) is located about 22 kilometers north-east of Calicut City. National Institute of Technology Calicut is a Technical Institution of national importance set up by an Act of parliament(Act 29 of 2007) namely, the National Institute of technology Act 2007, which received the assent of the President of India on 5th June,2007. The provision of the Act have come into force with effect from 15th August,2007 as per Notification S.O.1384(E) dated 9th August, 2007 of the MHRD(Dept. of Higher Education),New Delhi. As per the provision of the said Act, this Institution runs on non profitable basis.

The Institute proposes to conduct walk-in-interview for the appointment of Ad-hoc Faculty in various Departments of the Institute for handling the academic teaching load and practical classes for the present semester. This engagement will be purely on temporary basis and will carry a consolidated pay as detailed below. Candidates with the specified qualifications can report for the Walk in Interview at their own expense in the respective Departments of the National Institute of Technology Calicut as per the schedule given below. Degrees from recognized Universities/ Institutions completed on the regular mode will only be accepted. No TA/DA will be paid. Due Consideration will be given to SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per Govt. of India rules. SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer certificate issued not below the rank of Tahasildar) as per the GOI Rules /candidates should bring the valid Caste certificate from the competent authority. PH candidates should bring a valid certificate of permanent disability from the competent authority. The candidates have to carry all the proofs of original and copies of their id proof, all certificates and mark lists, publications and relevant documents along with a passport-size photograph at the time of the interview.

PG Rs. 58,000/-
*** The PhD certificate (Provisional or degree) must be produced at the time of interview, subsequent production of certificate (especially at any later date) will not entitle the person for the remuneration for PhD.
