Position Details

  • Position Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
  • Project Title: Mechanistic insights of CO2 Conversion into Methane over Engineered Perovskite-based catalysts under mild conditions

  • Duration: Three years or until the project concludes, whichever is earlier. Performance will be evaluated annually.
  • Number of Positions: One

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess an M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc./M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical, Materials, Metallurgical, Chemistry, Energy Engineering, or other relevant specializations in Heterogeneous Catalysis. A minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA is required for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL categories, and 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD categories. Alternatively, candidates with a B.E. or B.Tech degree in relevant fields with at least 65% aggregate marks or 7.0 CGPA for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL categories, and 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD categories are eligible. Preference will be given to candidates with a GATE qualification.

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to independently execute experimental procedures, focusing on catalyst development and characterization techniques.
  • Familiarity with computational tools for data analysis, modeling, and interpretation of experimental results.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 28 years for the GEN/GEN-EWS category, 31 years for OBC-NCL, and 33 years for SC/ST/PwD/Female candidates.

Salary and Benefits

The selected candidate will receive a monthly emolument of ₹37,000 for the first two years and ₹42,000 for the third year. HRA will be provided as per institute rules. Additionally, the candidate is eligible to register for a Ph.D. degree at NIT Warangal, subject to the institute’s regulations.
