🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
1. A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in the relevant science discipline, from an Indian University an equivalent accredited institution. 2. An eminent scientist / scholar holding a Ph.D. degree in a science discipline relevant to the School (e.g. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Botany, Zoology, Life Sciences. Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science or an allied field), with strong record of high-quality publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals (SCI / Scopus). 3. Fulfilment of the eligibility conditions prescribed for the post is deputation of teachers not below the rank of Associate professor in Govt. Colleges/Aided Colleges/ Universities/ Government Institutions under the applicable UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications and Sreenarayanaguru Open University Act 2021 & Statutes of the University. Associate Professors for the post shall be considered in the absence of Professors.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience – Consistent with the School’s research-intensive and interdisciplinary mandate, preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate: Distinguished research in a science discipline, together with the breadth to appreciate and lead across the physical, mathematical and life sciences. A strong publication, citation and patent record and success in attracting funded research (e.g. DST / SERB / CSIR DBT / ICMR/ ANRF / industry / international grants). Experience of building and leading research laboratories and central facilities instrumentation, computational and Centres of Excellence. Experience of designing science programmes — UG, PG, integrated and doctoral — with strong laboratory, project and research-training components. A record of interdisciplinary and translational research and Of collaboration with industry, national laboratories and international partners. Commitment to research integrity and safety — ethics, biosafety and laboratory safety and familiarity with accreditation (NAAC, NIRF and NBA where applicable). Contributions to science communication and outreach — promoting scientific temper, STEM education and public engagement.

As per UGC Norms. The pay and Allowance shall be regulated as per the pay and Allowances drawn in their Parent Department, subject to the applicable rules governing deputation.
