🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Candidates must hold a PhD degree or have successfully defended their thesis and are awaiting formal award. Applicants should be fresh PhD holders or PhDs with less than two years of post-doctoral/research experience. Candidates who have obtained their PhD from IIM Mumbai are not eligible for this fellowship. Preferably below 38 years of age on the date of application. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD categories is as per Government of India norms.

Desirable qualifications include strong quantitative skills with proficiency in areas like Optimization, Data Analytics, Simulation, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, LLM, Agentic AI, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Advanced/Operational Analytics. Advanced computational skills, particularly in Python/Julia, with applications in AI, Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning (DL), will be advantageous.

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹

• Fellowship Amount: ₹75,000 per month (1st year); ₹80,000 per month (2nd and 3rd year, subject to review). • Contingency Grant: ₹1,00,000 for the 1st year (non-lapsable) and ₹50,000 from the 2nd year onwards, for laptop, books, data, software, publication charges, or research travel. • Accommodation: Institute housing (subject to availability) or HRA as per norms. • Conference Support: Financial support for one international conference (typically after 12 months) over the tenure of 3 years, and one national conference per year as per Institute norms, provided the related publications are in Q1 journals from Web of Science indexed journal list.
