- Project Title- ‘Shabdakalpa’ project to ereate a historical dictionary of the Bengali language. The project is being executed by the School of Cultural Texts and Records, Jadavpur University.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
For two posts: l. Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks (grade B*), preferably in a Humanities discipline, Computer Science, Computer Applications or Information Technology. However, Master’s degree holders in other disciplines may be considered if found suitable in other respects. 2. Experience of computer operation in projects involving textual computing, computational linguistics, natural language processing or other relevant field. 3. Command of the Bengali language, spoken and written, at first-language level, with knowledge of Bengali grammar and ability to interpret and analyse Bengali texts. 4. Skill in operating the Bengali keyboard with Avro keyboard software. A typing test may be held.
For one post: I. Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks in Sanskrit. 2 to 5. As nos. 2 to 5 above.
(B) Desirable: I. Experience of digital archiving, scanning and digital photography. 2. Formal training in digital humanities.
🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
Rs.20,000/- per month consolidated.

No notice will be sent individually to candidates. There may also be a test in Avro keyboard operation and text correction.
