The essential qualifications include a Post-Graduate degree in Economics with a minimum of 55% marks, a B.Ed. degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade, and qualification in the National Eligibility Test or a Doctor of Philosophy in Education or in the concerned subject as prescribed by the University Grants Commission.
