•   Project Details – The project “Physics-informed AI for Hydrological Forecasting in Peninsular India” integrates physical hydrological principles with advanced AI models to improve prediction accuracy. By embedding domain knowledge into machine learning frameworks, it aims to capture complex interactions among hydrological processes and deliver reliable forecasts for water resource management.

• Duration – 3 years 

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Essential: Candidates must have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG levels for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL categories and a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD categories. GATE is not mandatory. Alternatively, a CGPA of 7.5/10 or 70% of marks for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL categories and at least a CGPA of 7.0/10 or 65% for SC/ST/PwD categories is required. Candidates should have a B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering or Agricultural Engineering or an equivalent degree and an M.Tech/M.E. in a relevant Civil Engineering specialization.

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹

The fellowship is Rs 37,000/- per month for the first two years and Rs 42,000/- per month during the third year based on performance.
