Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College was established in the year 1977, as a first self-financing Engineering College in the composite state of Andhra Pradesh. The college is in Autonomous Status from 2006 onwards granted by UGC, permanently affiliated to JNTUK, Kakinada and approved by AICTE. The College was declared as Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education, Deemed to be University by MoE, GOI, under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 in March, 2024. The institute is accredited by NAAC with A+ grade. All the UG programs are accredited by NBA under OBE Tier–I format and 5 PG in Engineering programs are also accredited once. The institute ranked with 151 – 200 Band in NIRF-2025, NIRF-2024 as well as in NIRF-2023, at 141 in NIRF-2022, 178 in NIRF-2021, 156 in NIRF- 2020 and 171 in NIRF-2019 by MoE and also stood at good rankings given by various national survey magazines. The institute Ranked (51-100) in 2023 – NIRF Innovations, Band ‘A’ institution (6-25 rank) in 2020 and ‘Excellent’ category in 2021 under the category “Colleges/Institutes (Private / Self Financed) (Technical)”in ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation achievements) by MoE, GoI. The college received AICTE – CII IndPact award for best Industry-Linked Institute for Civil Engineering & Allied Institute and rated platinum for five consecutive years 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021. The sponsoring society of the college is recognized as SIRO by DSIR, MST, GoI. This is the only private engineering college granted with “Margdarshan Scheme” by AICTE in 2018 in the state of AP. The college has 20+ collaborative labs & COE’s supported by Siemens, Dassault, IBM, DST, NI, Oracle, Apple, CISCO etc., The college is offering consultancy services in A.P. and earned more than Rs.12 Crores during the last 5 years. The institute has received R & D projects worth of more than Rs.8.0 Crores for the last 6 years funded by UGC, AICTE, DST, DRDO etc. The college has worthy placement record, competent faculty with more than 200 Ph.D’s. The strong presence of Alumni was felt across the Globe as Entrepreneurs, CEOs, Academic leaders etc. Six departments of the institute were recognized as Research centres by JNTUK, Kakinada. The institute has more than 100 MoU’s with industry partners and more than 1800 publications by faculty for the last 3 years in National, International Journals and Conferences. Industry relevant curriculum is offered involving MOOCs, Industry based courses, Internship, Skill development, Personality Development & Student practice courses. The college has NSS & NCC units in the campus recognized by State and Central Governments. There are quite good number of visiting and adjunct faculty from foreign universities and industry. The laboratories in Civil Engineering department are accredited by NABL.

Candidates should meet AICTE/UGC norms. Ph.D. preferred for faculty positions. Candidates from premier institutions or those with research in emerging tech will be offered higher pay. Those who have submitted their thesis may also apply.

As per 7th CPC pay scale and University norms. Higher pay for candidates with leadership, academic, or research excellence.
