🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
i) A Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Optometry or Optometry & Vision Sciences with not less than 55% marks with good academic record (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) from a recognised Indian University, or an accredited foreign university.
ii) In addition to fulfilling the above qualification, the candidate must satisfy either of the following.
a) Possess a Ph.D. degree in Optometry / Optometry & Vision Sciences, awarded in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, as amended from time to time
OR
b) Possess a Ph.D. degree in Optometry / Optometry 86 Vision Sciences obtained from a foreign university/institution, which is ranked within the top 500 universities globally (at any time) by any one of the following internationally recognised ranking agencies: QS, THE, ARW .
OR
c) Possess a minimum of three (3) years of post-Master’s professional experience in Teaching and/or Clinical practice in the field of Optometry and Vision Sciences, in a recognised academic institution, hospital, teaching hospital, or clinical training centre.
