The Divecha Centre for Climate Change at IISc focuses on interdisciplinary research to address the challenges of climate change through scientific and policy-oriented approaches.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Essential Qualifications: A Ph.D. from a recognized university with a minimum of two years of post-doctoral teaching and/or research experience. Age Limit: Maximum 45 years.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills: Doctoral degree with domain expertise in the economic and social dimensions of climate change mitigation and adaptation. Background as a developmental economist or researcher with experience in climate policy, economic and social inequality, sustainable development, and the interlinkages between technology and society. Proficiency in handling large-scale datasets and use of statistical software. Experience in econometric modelling is preferred. Excellent academic writing skills, strong organizational and communication abilities, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities: 

 o Research and Analysis (50%): Conduct research, data analysis, and preparation of policy briefs. 

 o Outreach and Coordination (50%): Organize events and contribute to science policy outreach activities. 

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹

Emoluments: ₹67,000 per month plus House Rent Allowance (HRA). An increment of maximum of four such increments.
