Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Application of Hybrid Machine Learning Techniques in Flood and Sediment Modelling Programme 2026

The National Institute of Technology, Warangal, in collaboration with the Department of Civil Engineering, is hosting an Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on the “Application of Hybrid Machine Learning Techniques in Flood and Sediment Modelling.” This programme, scheduled from 7th to 18th September 2026, is sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. It aims to equip participants with advanced AI-based approaches for tackling complex challenges in flood and sediment modelling.

The FDP will delve into hybrid machine learning algorithms such as GWO-CatBoost and WOA-Stacking, focusing on their application in flood prediction, sediment transport, scour depth estimation, and boundary shear stress modelling. Participants will benefit from expert lectures, case studies, and hands-on sessions, gaining practical knowledge in integrating hydraulic principles with data-driven models.

About NIT Warangal
