🎯Project Details

• Project Title – “Multifaceted Search for Extra-terrestrial Intelligence” in the School of Earth and Planetary Sciences, NISER Bhubaneswar funded by University of Oxford.
• The above position is purely temporary for a period of one year or completion of project whichever is earlier and strictly co-terminus with the project and not leading to any PhD degree in NISER. It would, therefore, not confer any right/ claim, implicit, or explicit for consideration/ absorption against any NISER post.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Candidates must have at least 55% marks, or an equivalent GPA, in a Master’s degree in Physics, Astronomy, Space Sciences, or a relevant field, or a 4-year B.E./B.Tech degree in an engineering discipline. A valid National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship) or a valid GATE score is required.

Preference will be given to candidates with strong programming and computational skills in Python. Experience or knowledge in machine learning and radio astronomy will be considered an additional advantage.

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹

Monthly Emoluments: ₹31,000 plus HRA (as per rules). Candidates not having any valid National Eligibility Tests or valid GATE may be considered for Project Associate on a Monthly Emoluments of ₹25,000 plus HRA (as per rules).
