- Project entitled “Assessment of silicate solubilizing bacterial biodiversity and abundance with physicochemical characteristics of paddy fields in East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya, for development of location specific biofertilizer” sanctioned to Dr. Arvind Kumar, Department of Biochemistry, NEHU, Shillong
- Tenure – PA-I: Initially for six months with a possibility of subsequent extensions for maximum up to 10.06.2029 subject to satisfactory performance FA: Initially for six months with a possibility of subsequent extension for maximum up to 10.06.2027 subject to satisfactory performance

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
For Project Associate-I: Candidates must have an M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany, or relevant subjects. Desirable qualifications include experience in soil microbiology, molecular biology, and phylogenetic analysis.
For Field Assistant: Candidates should possess a B.Sc. in Life Sciences or Agricultural Sciences. A desirable qualification is an M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Microbiology.

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
For Project Associate-I: Rs. 31,000/- P.M. + HRA for candidates who qualified CSIR-LS, GATE, or national level examinations. Rs. 25,000/- P.M. + HRA for others.
For Field Assistant: Rs. 20,000/- P.M. + HRA as per DBT OM.
