  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

🎯 PROJECT DETAILS

  • Project title: ” Nickel Recovery from Mine Tailings and Suspended Dust In and Around Mines Ministry of Mines”
  • Sponsoring agency: Government of India 
  • Duration (in years):  Two years or till closure of the project, whichever is earlier. Performance of the research fellow will be evaluated in 3 months. 

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Essential qualifications:  B.E./B.Tech. in Biotechnology/ Industrial Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Biotech. Engineering/ Bioengineering/Biological Sciences and Bioengineering/ Biosciences and Bioengineering/ Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering/ Biochemical and Biotechnology Engineering, and M.E./ M. Tech./ M.S.(by Research)/ M.S.* (from abroad, two-year program only) in Biotechnology/Industrial Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Biotech Engineering/ Genetic Engineering/ Biological Sciences and Bioengineering/ Biosciences and Bioengineering/Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering/Biochemical Candidates with GATE/CSIR-UGC/DBT/ICMR NET qualification will be given preference. and Engineering/Environmental Engineering. (OR) M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology Microbiology/Botany/ Zoology/ Bioinformatics/ Life Sciences and M.Tech. in Biotechnology/M.Tech in Environmental Engineering . (OR) M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Life Sciences. Other essential criteria: Biochemistry/ Microbiology/Botany/ Zoology/ Candidates with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG for GEN/ GEN-EWS/ OBC-NCL category and minimum 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA at both UG and PG for SC/ ST/ PwD category. OR Candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology with at least CGPA of 7.5/10 or 70% of marks under GEN/ GEN-EWS/ OBC-NCL category and at least CGPA of 7.0/10 or 65% under SC/ ST/ PwD category.

Candidates with GATE/CSIR-UGC/DBT/ICMR NET qualification will be given preference. 

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹

The selected candidates will receive a monthly emolument of ₹37,000 for the first two years, with HRA as per institute rules. On-campus hostel and mess facilities are available, subject to availability.
