🎯 Project Details

• Title of the project – “TARANG: Design of Terahertz Wireless Communications Systems for 6G”
• Description of the project: The project intends to develop enhanced technologies to combat propagation loss of Terahertz channel and application of AI to develop low-complexity beam training and resource management in wireless communication 
•  Sponsored Agency – TTDF/DoT, Govt. of India.
• Project sanction number – Three years or till the closure of the project whichever is earlier. Performance evaluation will be done each year
• Duration – 03 years or completion of project, whichever is earlier (extension based on performance review every 12 months) 
•  Principal Investigator (P.I) – Dr. Sucharita Chakraborty

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Candidates with/without valid GATE/NET and with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL category and minimum 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA at both UG and PG for SC/ST/PwD category. Alternatively, candidates with a B.Tech/B.E or equivalent degree in ECE and M.Tech/M.E in ECE or equivalent are eligible. A solid understanding of digital communication, probability theory, optimization, and wireless communications is crucial. Experience with programming languages such as MATLAB or Python is desirable.
