The University has identified its campus at Thalappady, Kottayam as the ideal location for IUCBR & SSH, and the first phase of the construction is completed. Mahatma Gandhi University,one of the major Universities in Kerala, is a premier educational institution that strives to fulfill the higher educational needs of the people from Central Kerala. Set on the sprawling 110-acre Priyadarsini Hills Campus at Athirampuzha, 12 kms off Kottayam, the University also has two satellite campuses in Kottayam . The University was established on 2nd October 1983 and has jurisdiction over the revenue districts of Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki and parts of Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha. 🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
(i) Essential qualification(Eligibility):
Good academic record with M.Sc in Chemistry and Ph D in the field of application of NMR Spectroscopy, in Structural Chemistry/ Biophysics/ Structural Biology. Minimum 8 years of experience, after the doctoral research period, in the field of solution state NMR Spectroscopy.
(ii) Desirable qualifications:
The candidate should be able to acquire, process and interpret 1D, 2D and 3D NMR Spectra, should be able to determine the Structure of small molecules and bio-molecules from NMR data and should have experience in handling, and maintaining NMR Spectrometer, and software like Topspin, CCPN etc.
