- Research Project titled: “Spatial Morphology and Hydrological Functioning of Paleochannel Ponds in the Chambal-Kunwari Interfluve: Implications for Local Livelihoods and Human-Environment Interactions” bearing File No.: F. No. 73/2025-26/ICSSR/RP/MJ
- Sponsored by – ICSSR
- Duration: Initially for 12 months and will be extended up to another 06+06 months based on the performance of the candidate and the need of the project.
🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Social Sciences or a related field with a minimum of 55% marks. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience and publications in reputed journals.
Desirable Qualifications • Preference will be given to candidates having UGC-NET/M.Phil./Ph.D. and relevant research experience. • Since the project involves the spatial morphology and hydrological functioning of paleochannel ponds, knowledge and practical experience in Geoinformatics/GIS and Remote Sensing will be highly desirable. • Candidates with programming/data-analysis skills in Google Earth Engine (GEE), SPSS, Python, and/or R will be preferred.

Remuneration: ₹37,000/- per month
