  • Research Associate – I (RA-I)

🎯 PROJECT / TITLE

Project Title: “Strengthening Jammu and Kashmir’s Infrastructure: Corrosion-Resistant and High Strength 6082 T6 Aluminum Alloy for Bridges and High Structures”
Funding Agency: Ministry of Mines, Government of India

📚 DEPARTMENT

Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Srinagar

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Essential: Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical & Materials Engineering
Desirable:

  • Experience in metallurgical and material science
  • Specialization in anodizing of alloy materials and characterization
  • Relevant high-impact publications
  • Qualified GATE score
  • Strong technical report writing skills

💰 SALARY / STIPEND / FELLOWSHIP

₹69,600 per month (₹58,000 + 20% HRA)

DURATION

Initially for 1 year, extendable up to 3 years (36 months) based on performance and project requirement.
