  • Title of The Project – “Deployment of Friction-Stir-Welded Al–Cu Interconnects for Shape Engineered Structural Li-ion Battery Packs for Next-Generation Electric Vehicles
  • Principal Investigator –  Dr. Omkar Mypati, Mechanical Engineering, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad 
  •  Tenure of Project – 3 Years (The candidate will be allowed for PhD enrolment as per the institute rules)
  • IIT (ISM) Project No. PFMS/SRDP/1341/G

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Mechanical/Electronics/Computer Science and M.Sc. in Chemistry/Material Science/Nano Technology/Energy Sciences OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:

  • Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
  • Selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MOE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISC, IISER, NISER etc.

Desirable Qualification: M.Tech/PhD in Mechanical, CSE, Electronics or M.Sc/PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, and Energy Sciences or allied fields. Candidates should have knowledge in energy storage materials, lithium-ion batteries, electrocatalysis, supercapacitors, and electrochemical characterization.

Age and Relaxation: Maximum age is 35 years at the time of appointment. Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PwD candidates.

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE

The fellowship is ₹37,000 per month for the first two years and ₹42,000 in the third year, awarded after successful assessment.
