  • Project titled “Validation of a 39-Gene RT-qPCR-Based Diagnostic Panel and Matched Liquid Biopsy Gene Expression Signature Toward Early Detection of Gallbladder Cancer” 
  • Principal Investigator-  Dr. Manoj Pandey,   Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University.
  • Sanction Order / File No.: DEV/2026/NIRF_BHU_1_PN (291024) dated 31/08/2026 
  •  ICMR Project ID: IIRPIG(NAG)-I-2026-04-0129 
  •  Approved Project Duration: 3 Years (Initial appointment for 1 year, renewable annually based on performance)

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

• Ph.D. in Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Molecular Biology or Genetics or Life Sciences from a recognized NIRF top 20 university/institute. • Minimum of two (2) first- or corresponding-author research publications in Q1/Q2 indexed journals. 

 Desirable Qualifications: • Hands-on expertise in tissue and liquid-biopsy DNA/RNA workflows (cfRNA, cfDNA and EV-RNA isolation). • Proven experience in RT-qPCR and Droplet Digital PCR (dd-PCR) assay design, optimization, and absolute quantification. • Proficiency in molecular data analysis, quality control (QC), SOP documentation, and clinical molecular coordination.

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE

₹67,000/- + 20% HRA = ₹80,400/- p.m.

📝 HOW TO APPLY

• The post is purely temporary, contractual, and co-terminus with the project. The appointment is terminable with one month’s notice from either side without assigning any reasons. • Selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment or absorption under BHU, ICMR, DHR, or the Government of India. • Benefits of Provident Fund, CCA, LTC, and medical claims are not admissible. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/interview or joining the post. • Candidates currently employed in government, autonomous, or private institutions must produce a “No Objection Certificate” (NOC) at the time of the interview. • Application Deadline: Applications in the prescribed tabular proforma in hard copies along with self-attested copies of mark sheets, certificates, experience credentials, and reprints of Q1/Q2 publications must reach within 21 days of publication of this advertisement .Email applications will not be considered
