🎯Project Details

• Project Title – “Unravel the functional role of MYB96 transcription factors for improvement of drought tolerance and oil content in oilseed crops Indian mustard and groundnut.”
•   Project Description – This project is a joint collaboration between IISER Tirupati and BHU which aims to elucidate the functional role of MYB96 transcription factors in regulating drought tolerance and oil accumulation in Indian mustard and groundnut. Through molecular, physico-chemical and genetic approaches, the study will characterize MYB96 in drought stress mitigation and oil quality improvement. 
•  Funding Body – Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India (File No.: BT/PR60880/CRA/168/22/2026; BHU Project Code: M-21/1560)
• Project Duration – Two (02) years
• Principal Investigator- Dr. Deepak Kumar

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Applicants must have JRF, NET or GATE qualification and hold an M.Sc. degree in Botany / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Environmental Science / Plant Science / Life Science / Biosciences with at least 55% or equivalent marks. Desirable Skills: Candidates with prior experience in molecular biology, plant tissue culture, plant transformation, bioinformatics or related laboratory techniques will be preferred. 

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹

Rs. 37,000/- per month + 18% HRA, as per DBT norms.
