The National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) is an autonomous research institute under the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council (BRIC), funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. NIAB is dedicated to harnessing novel and emerging biotechnologies to improve animal health technology, reproductive technology, diseases, nutritional enrichment, and bioinformatics. The institute focuses on translational research for genetic enhancement of Indian livestock species and the development of novel vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutic molecules for farm animals.

For Scientist-D: Ph.D. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Chemistry/Computational Biology/Pharmaceutical Sciences/Molecular Biology/Agricultural Sciences/Plant Sciences or related disciplines; or Ph.D. in Engineering or Technology in Chemical/Biomedical/Pharmaceutical engineering or M.D. in any branch of medicine/MDS/MVSc. with a minimum of three years of post-qualification experience.

For Scientist-C: Ph.D. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Chemistry/Computational Biology/Pharmaceutical Sciences/Molecular Biology/Agricultural Sciences/Plant Sciences or related disciplines; or Ph.D. in Engineering or Technology in Chemical/Biomedical/Pharmaceutical engineering or M.D. in any branch of medicine/MDS/MVSc.

Scientist-D – Pay Level -12 as per 7th CPC

 Scientist-C – Pay Level  -11 as per 7th CPC
