📹 EVENT DESCRIPTION
Advancements in medical technology necessitate a reevaluation of animal research practices. The 3Rs (Reduction, Refinement, Replacement) framework promotes ethical alternatives like cell cultures, and computer models. However, a critical knowledge gap persists among Indian researchers regarding these alternatives. This 5-day Faculty Development Programme aims to address this gap by enriching the knowledge of pharmacologists, veterinarians, and biomedical scientists on the importance and current developments of these alternatives. By doing so, the program empowers researchers to conduct ethical research with minimal animal involvement.
The FDP aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of innovative and ethical alternatives to animal use. We will cover topics like in-vitro techniques, computational models, and other emerging methodologies aligned with the 3Rs principles (Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement). Esteemed experts in the field will share their insights, best practices, and advancements.
