• Title of the Project – “Near-Time Flash Flood Forecasting in Mining-Affected Catchments: Integrating Hydrological Models, Altered Topography & Weather Data”

•  Tenure of Project -The position is temporary and will last for 2.5 years or until the project ends. The selected candidate may be considered for Ph.D. enrollment, subject to fulfilling the admission criteria of IIT (ISM), Dhanbad and their performance during the project tenure.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

1. Candidate must be GATE/NET qualified. 2. Candidates must have: • M.Tech in Water Resources Engineering/ Hydraulic Engineering/ Hydrology/Environment Engineering/ Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing & GIS/ Civil Engineering/ Earth Sciences or equivalent specializations.

 OR

 • Msc in Environmental Science / Atmospheric Science / Geology or Applied Geology / or equivalent specializations

Desirable Qualification

 Exposure to hydrological modelling &/or large-scale climate and remote sensing datasets &/or proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or R

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹

37000/- p.m. + HRA for first two years

 42000 /- p.m.+ HRA for third year

 HRA can be admissible in lieu of non-availability of hostel accommodation.
