The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak has been established by an Act of the Parliament of India. It came into existence by the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007 and came into action on July 2008. The jurisdiction of the University extends to the whole country and it is fully funded by the Central Government through the University Grant Commission. The university caters to the tribals’ long cherished dream of higher education. Our Aims and Objectives To disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in tribal art, tradition, culture, language, medicinal systems, customs, forest based economic activities, flora, fauna and advancement in technologies relating to the natural resources of the tribal areas.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Science & Engineering Research Board, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India funded research project entitled, “Role of hypothalamic neuropeptide VF neuronal circuit in stress-induced changes in sympathetic activity and energy homeostasis” under the supervision of Dr. Raj Kamal Srivastava (Principal Investigator).
💼 DESIGNATION / JOB POSITION
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
TITLE OF THE PROJECT
Role of hypothalamic neuropeptide VF neuronal circuit in stress-induced changes in sympathetic activity and energy homeostasis
🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
The details of the required qualifications & experience along with other relevant information are available on the Institute Website
Duration of the project: Three years (3 years), the tenure of the appointment will be initially for six
months which may be extended further based on satisfactory performance.
Nature of the Post: Temporary and co-terminus with the project
Essential Qualifications: As per Govt. rules. M. Sc. or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks, in Zoology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/life sciences and have qualified NET/GATE/national level equivalent exams in Life Sciences.
Age Limit: The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years. However, a relaxation of up to 5 years is admissible for SC/ST/Women candidates.
🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Rs. 31,000/- per month + 8% HRA
