The creation of a BIS Standardization Chair is for research and development, teaching and training in the field of Standardisation and Conformity Assessment, in the country with focus on different fields of civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, earthquake engineering, development and management of water resources and renewable energy projects, infrastructure development, medical biotechnology & nanotechnology, biomaterials, etc.
🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
Besides salary from the Institute, the Chair Professor will be paid an honorarium amount of Rs. 25,000/- per month. Additionally, contingency and travel support will be provided up to maximum of Rs. 1.00 Lac per year for the BIS related activities.
