Project Title

AKASH-6G: AI-Native 6G Non-Terrestrial Networks: Deep Learning Frameworks for Resilient Direct-to-Device Connectivity

Duration

The position is for a duration of 3 years.

Salary / Remuneration / Pay Scale

The emoluments for candidates selected through National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET or GATE) are ₹37,000 + HRA for the first two years and ₹42,000 + HRA for the third year, upon successful assessment and upgradation to SRF. For candidates without these qualifications, the salary is ₹30,000 + HRA for the first two years and ₹33,000 + HRA for the third year.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification & Experience / Requirement

Candidates must have a B.Tech/B.E or equivalent degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and an M.Tech/M.E in the same field or equivalent. A minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA is required for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL categories, and 55% or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD categories. Desired qualifications include a strong understanding of satellite communication, digital communication, probability theory, optimization, and wireless communications, along with experience in programming languages and simulation tools like MATLAB or Python.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 30 years, with a relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC, women, and persons with disabilities.

Additional Information

The position is purely temporary, and the selected candidate will have the opportunity to register for a Ph.D. degree at NIT Warangal, subject to the institute’s rules. Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview, which may be conducted online or offline. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
